GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The University of Providence men's soccer program travels to Billings Mont. on Friday, Sept. 8 for their neutral site matchup with the University of Jamestown.
Last Time Out
The Argos visited Billings, Mont. where they defeated Ave Maria University 4-2 in a neutral site non-conference match. UP jumped out in front with a goal by freshman
Jose Vasquez early in the first half. Despite Ave Maria taking the lead 2-1 in the second half the Argos scored three unanswered goals to pick up their first win of the season. All four goals were by freshman and the three in the second half came from
Eduardo Sidoine,
Rylan Pate, and
Liam Vaux.

UP currently has a five-way tie for goal scoring leader with freshman
Geovanni Lugo, Sidoine, Pate, Vaux, and Vasquez all with one. Vasquez is the shot leader for the Argos with five and freshman
Hugo Gil and senior
Tomeu Nebot Schmalfeld have one assist apiece. In goal, freshman
Thomas Sine leads the team in saves with 13 so far this season.
University of Jamestown
This will be the 18
th matchup between the Argos and the Jimmies with the series record currently at 8-8-1. Jamestown is 1-2-1 on the season thus far and are coming off a 1-1 tie with Central Christian their last time out. The Jimmies have spread the ball around this season with eight different players scoring at least one goal and Jacob Holtz, Jack Crombie, and Boston Petersen are all currently tied for the shot lead with six.
