CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- The University of Providence men's wrestling program went 1-2 at National Duals Friday.

In the first match of the day against #11 Ottawa University, the Argos would lose the first two matches but redshirt sophomore Dante Reviglio got UP on the board with a 11-2 major decision victory over Trent Moses.

UP would lose the next five matches, and despite #5 sophomore Sawyer Hobbs winning an 8-6 decision and #2 senior KC Buday pinning Issac Gibson, the Argos fell to Ottawa University 24-13.

In the second match at the UNI-Dome against William Penn the Argos started hot with back-to-back pins by redshirt freshman Dre Coles and Tristan Bremer.

Despite losing the 141 match, redshirt freshman #22 Jalen Vladic got his first win of the day defeating Trent Evans by TF. UP would pick up a pair of forfeits at 157 and 285 and would finish the dual with three straight victories. #13 redshirt senior Jordan Komac won by major decision, #20 redshirt senior Alan Badley won by TF, and #25 redshirt junior Caleb Werner moved up a weight class and pinned Jesse Schwery.

In the final match of the day against #11 Indiana Tech, the Argos would lose their first two matches but at 141 Reviglio picked up his second win of the day defeating Steven Garty 7-2.

UP would lose at 149 and 157, but #13 freshman Pig Hobbs brought the match within six by pinning #12 Jonathan Kervin in the third round. Komac would continue the momentum for the Argos defeating Sam York by TF.

Buday would win the final match of the contest 6-1 but it was not enough as the Argos fell to #11 Indiana Tech 22-17.

UP will be back in action tomorrow, Jan. 6 at the National Dual Championships. The Argos will take on Central Methodist at 10 a.m. (MDT) at the UNI-Dome.
