Argos Host Embry-Riddle Saturday

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence women's basketball team hosts Embry-Riddle for a non-conference matchup on Nov. 23. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. in the McLaughlin Center.  
 
Last Time Out
The Argos picked up a pair of victories in Arizona defeating Park University Gilbert 85-74 and Benedictine University Mesa 81-51. Sophomore Keanna Salave'a led the way for UP averaging 16 points and eight rebounds while senior Ashlee Maldondo tallied 15.5 points, six rebounds, five assists, and 2.5 steals per game.
 
Stat Leaders
The Argos leading scorer so far this season has been senior Ashlee Maldonado who is averaging 17.8 points per game. Sophomore Keanna Salave'a is not far behind averaging 17.5 points per game and is also leading the team in rebounds with 10.7 per game. Maldonado is the leading assist getter with 5.8 per game and is tied with senior Kolby Pimperton with two steals per game.
 
Embry-Riddle
The Eagles were 19-13 last season and fell to Carroll College in the first round of the NAIA National Tournament. Embry-Riddle is 2-2 so far this season and are coming off a 62-57 loss to Carroll their last time out. The Argos are 1-0 in their history versus the Eagles winning the lone matchup 70-60 in 2021.
