GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's basketball team hosts Northwest University on Friday at 11:00 a.m. before heading to Arizona for the Cactus Classic on Dec. 15-17.
 
Last Time Out
The Argos defeated the University of Maine at Fort Kent 103-58 in Great Falls. Junior Brendan Redhead led the way with 21 points and seniors Mike Wright Jr. and Antoine Boyd Jr. added 17 apiece. Boyd was also named Frontier Conference Player of the Week after tallying eight rebounds, three steals, and two blocks.
 
Northwest University
The Eagles started the 2024-2025 season with a record of 1-6 and are coming off an 85-79 loss against The Evergreen State College their last time out. The Argos are 2-0 in their history versus Northwest winning the most recent matchup 112-104 in 2019.   
 
Embry-Riddle
The Eagles started the 2024-2025 season with a record of 3-5 and are coming off an 87-63 victory over Stanton University their last time out. The Argos are 3-0 in their history versus Embry-Riddle winning the most recent matchup 87-75 in 2021.
 
Park University Gilbert
The Buccaneers started the 2024-2025 season with a record of 2-6 and are coming off a 93-67 loss against Westminster University their last time out. The Argos are 1-0 in their history versus Park University Gilbert winning the lone matchup 92-67 in 2019.   
 
#1 Arizona Christian University
The Firestorm were ranked #4 in the latest NAIA Coaches Top 25 after starting the 2024-2025 season with a record of 9-1 and are coming off an 87-63 victory over Stanton University their last time out. The Argos are 0-3 in their history versus Arizona Christian falling 96-94 in OT in their most recent matchup at last year's Cactus Classic.
