GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The University of Providence women's basketball program travels to Helena to take on #8 Carroll College in a key conference matchup. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the PE Center.Â

The Argos defeated Rocky Mountain College 65-54. Graduate transfer Ashlee Maldonado led the Argos scoring 25 points, grabbing six rebounds, and locked down defensively with five steals. Senior Maddy Dixon added eight points and grabbed eight rebounds, while freshman Eliannah Ramirez added three steals and 12 points in the victory.Â
Season Leaders Â
Maldonado is the Argos leading scorer and assist getter so far this season, averaging 17.7pts and 4.4ast per game. Freshman Keanna Salave'a has the most rebounds with 10.5 per game, and she is also second on the team in points averaging 13.3. Defensively, Maldonado leads the Argos averaging 2.0 steals per game and Dixon is averaging 1.2 blocks per game.Â
Carroll CollegeÂ
The Fighting Saints are currently ranked eighth in the national poll. The Argos have won four of the last ten matchups against Carroll with their last win happening on 1/27/2024 in Helena, Mont. Carroll is 19-4 so far this season and is coming off a 77-73 overtime victory against Montana Western their last time out. Â
