GREAT FALLS, Mont. - - The University of Providence softball program fell to #10 Southern Oregon 12-3 and 8-4 Thursday afternoon.
 
In game one the Raiders struck first with a two RBI single in the top of the first, but in the bottom half of the inning a single up the middle from senior Deven Creech scored graduate transfer Madi Moore to cut the lead in half.
 
The Argos would add another run in the bottom of the first when sophomore Tiffany Fuentes singled to right field to score Macy Mangold to tie the game at two.
 
SOU scored three runs over the next two innings, but in the bottom of the fourth an infield single from Moore scored junior Ryen Palmer to keep the game within two.
 
The Raiders scored seven unanswered runs the rest of the way as the Argos fell in game one to #10 Southern Oregon 12-3.
 
In game two the Argos jumped in front when sophomore Marilyn Comack singled to left field to score senior Macy Mangold.
 
The Raiders would tie the game at one in the top of the second, but in the bottom of the third senior Gracie Fleming hit a two RBI single to center field to score Palmer and Comack to give the Argos a 3-1 lead.
 
The Argos would continue their momentum when Mangold drew a hit by pitch with the bases loaded to score sophomore Kolbi Wood from third.
 
The Raiders scored seven runs in the top of the fourth, and despite out hitting the Raiders 12-4, UP fell in game two of the double header 8-4.
