SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The University of Providence women's basketball program will face the #2 seed Carroll College in the semifinals of the NAIA Tournament Monday night at 5 p.m. (MST).
NAIA Tournament
The Argos set a new program record with 26 wins so far this season and advanced to the program's first NAIA semifinal after snapping #1 Marians 31-game win streak in the quarterfinals on Saturday. This will be the first postseason matchup between two Frontier Conference schools in NAIA Tournament history.
Previous Matchups
This will be the fifth meeting this season between the Argos and the Fighting Saints with each team winning two games thus far. Carroll opened Frontier Conference play winning 63-59 in Great Falls, and the Argos evened the season series in their next matchup defeating Carroll 63-40 in Helena. A shorthanded Argos team fell in the third matchup, but in the Frontier Conference Tournament Championship the Argos took home the title beating Carroll College 75-66 in Pacific Steel & Recycling Arena.

Ashlee Maldonado is the Argos leading scorer and assist getter so far this season, averaging 17.9pts and 4.4ast per game. Freshman
Keanna Salave'a has the most rebounds with 10.5 per game, and she is also second on the team in points averaging 14.5. Defensively, Maldonado leads the Argos averaging 1.9 steals per game.Â
