GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The University of Providence men's soccer program hosts Whitworth University for their home opener on Aug. 30. First touch is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. in Great Falls, Mont.    

Last Time Out
The Argos defeated Dakota Wesleyan 2-1 in Jamestown, N.D. for their first win of the season. Senior Tomeu Nebot Schmalfeld got the Argos on the board and sophomore Santi Jaramillo Ortiz's goal in the 89th minute secured the victory for the Argos.  

Players of the Week
Both Ortiz and sophomore Thomas Sine were named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the week after their performances in the Argos victory over Dakota Wesleyan. Sine recorded eight saves while only letting up one goal in his first win of the season. This is also the first time in program history that the Argos won both awards in the same week.

Whitworth University
This is the first meeting in program history between the Argos and the Pirates. Whitworth University finished last season with a record of 12-4-4 and will face the Argos for their second contest of the year on Aug. 30.
