GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence women's basketball team heads to Helena, Mont. for the Frontier Conference opener on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. versus #21 Carroll College at the PE Center.
 
Last Time Out
The Argos went 2-0 at the West Palm Beach Classic defeating Olivet Nazarene 85-74 and Huntington University 73-63. Sophomore Keanna Salave'a was named the Frontier Conference Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week after tallying 26 points, 23 rebounds, and five blocks versus Olivet Nazarene.
 
Stat Leaders
The Argos leading scorer so far this season has been sophomore Keanna Salave'a who is averaging 18.4 points per game. Senior Ashlee Maldonado is not far behind averaging 15.9 points per game and is also leading the team in assists with 6.2 per game. Salave'a is the leading rebounder with 11.8 per game and Maldonado and senior Kolby Pimperton lead the way defensively with 2.2 and 1.5 steals per game, respectively.
 
Carroll College
The Fighting Saints have started their 2024-2025 season 8-5 after being picked to finish second in the Frontier Conference. The Argos have won the last two matchups with Carroll College defeating them in both the Frontier Conference Tournament Championship game and the NAIA National Tournament Semifinal.
