GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence women's basketball team hosts Wayland Baptist University on Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
 
Last Time Out
The Argos defeated Texas A&M San-Antonio 70-53 and Bushnell University 80-51 to open the season. Junior Brooke Dial led the way with 22 points over the Jaguars and senior Ainsley Thurber led all scorers with 22 points versus the Beacons.   
 
Stat Leaders
The Argos leading scorer so far this season has been junior Brooke Dial who is averaging 17.5 points per game. Dial and senior Ainsley Thurber are leading the team in rebounds with nine per game and UP has two others averaging double figure scoring in Thurber at 16.5 and senior Katie Fleming with 10.5. Defensively freshman Madi Reibel leads the way with 3.5 steals per game.
 
Wayland Baptist
The Flying Queens finished last season with a record of 26-5 and fell to Southern Oregon in the second round of the NAIA National Tournament. This will be the second matchup in program history between Wayland Baptist and the University of Providence with the Argos taking the lone matchup 88-80 in 2015.
