Argos Face #3 Concordia in NAIA Quarterfinal

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The University of Providence women's volleyball team is set to face #3 Concordia University (Neb.) Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. (MST) in the NAIA National Tournament Quarterfinal.  

Last Time Out
The Argos went 2-0 in pool play sweeping both #19 The College of Idaho and #11 Mount Vernon Nazarene to advance to the second NAIA quarterfinal in program history.

Stat Leaders
The Argos lead attacker at the NAIA National Tournament so far has been senior Bella Green who tallied 13 kills versus the Yotes and 11 against the Cougars to average 4.0 kills per set. Junior Martyna Fiedler, and seniors Sadie Giles and Kiyana Faupula have also been major contributors on the attack tallying 18, 15, and 10 kills respectively.
 
Senior Bella Thompson has led the offense with 72 total assists to average 12 per set. Defensively, the Argos tallied 23 blocks led by Taylor with 13 and Faupula with nine. Junior Kyra Saiers has led the back row with 6.7 digs per set while junior Ellie Carlson has totaled 24 digs and Giles with 18.
 
Concordia University (Neb.)
The Bulldogs were ranked #4 in the final NAIA Top 25 Poll after finishing their regular season 24-3 overall and 15-1 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Concordia University (Neb.) received the #3 National Seed and defeated Florida National College 3-0 in the Opening Round prior to defeating #14 The Master's and #22 Dakota Wesleyan in Pool Play. The Argos are 3-4 in their history versus Concordia University (Neb.) with UP winning the most recent matchup 3-0 in 2021.
