Argos Await Semifinals of Frontier Conference Tournament

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's basketball team hosts the Frontier Conference Tournament at the Pacific Steel & Recycling Four Seasons Arena in Great Falls March 2-4.

Last Time Out
The Argos defeated MSU-Northern 73-60 but fell to #15 Montana Tech to clinch a #2 seed in the Frontier Conference Tournament. UP entered as the #3 seed in last year's tournament where they defeated #6 Rocky Mountain College in the quarterfinals.

Stat Leaders
The Argos leading scorer so far this season has been senior Jamil Bowles who is averaging 15.5 points per game. Bowles is also leading the team in rebounds with 8.6 per game. UP has two others averaging double figure scoring in senior Antoine Boyd Jr. with 14.6 and Mike Wright Jr. with 13.7. Defensively Boyd Jr. leads the way with 1.6 steals per game and has the team high in assists with 2.9 per game.


Frontier Conference Tournament
The Argos will receive a first-round bye and play the highest remaining seed in the semifinals out of Carroll College, Montana Western, or Rocky Mountain College on Monday, March 3.
