Argos Host Frontier Conference Tournament

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence women's basketball team hosts the Frontier Conference Tournament at the Pacific Steel & Recycling Four Seasons Arena in Great Falls on March 2-4.

Last Time Out
The Argos defeated MSU-Northern 67-62 and Montana Tech 67-59 to extend their winning streak to five heading into the postseason. UP finished with a 10-5 record and are entering the Frontier Conference Tournament as the #2 seed. Last year the Argos entered as the #2 seed and defeated #3 Montana Western in the semifinals and #1 Carroll College in the championship. 

Stat Leaders
The Argos leading scorer so far this season has been Keanna Salave'a who is averaging 17.1 points per game. Ashlee Maldonado is not far behind averaging 15.1 points per game and is also leading the team in assists with 5.4 per game. Salave'a is the leading rebounder with 10.7 per game and Maldonado has the team high with 2 steals per game.

Frontier Conference Tournament 
UP will be the #2 seed in the tournament and receive a first found bye into the semifinals. At the conclusion of the first round, the Argos will face the highest remaining seed out of Carroll College, Montana Tech, or MSU-Northern on Monday, March 3.
