HELENA, Mont. -- The University of Providence softball program fell to #13 Eastern Oregon 11-2 and 5-4 Saturday afternoon.
 
In game one the Mountaineers (18-3) got on the board first scoring three runs in the top of the first and two runs in the top of the third, but in the bottom half a single from junior Tiffany Fuentes scored sophomore Kasidy Yeoman from third.
 
The Mountaineers scored six runs the rest of the way, and despite UP adding a run behind an EOU miscue, the Argos (6-16) fell to #13 Eastern Oregon 11-2.  
 
In game two the Argos jumped in front in the top of the first when senior Brynn Cullen singled to center to score senior Sydnee Weber from third.
 
UP did not stop there, adding another two runs in the bottom of the second behind a two-run home run to left field from Yeoman to put UP ahead 3-0.
 
Neither side could push another run across until the top of the sixth when Hannah Tyree doubled to right field to score Haley Tyree.
 
Eastern Oregon continued their momentum scoring four runs in the top of the seventh behind a two-run home run from Hope Burke to take a 5-3 lead into the seventh.
 
The Argos did not go quietly with senior Olivia Roe driving in Yeoman with a single, but despite getting the tying runner into scoring position, UP fell to #13 Eastern Oregon 5-4.
