GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence women's volleyball team heads to the CSM Labor Day Classic in Omaha, Neb. on Aug. 29-30. UP will face Oklahoma Panhandle State and #24 William Carey on Friday prior to playing Dakota Wesleyan and #8 IU Kokomo on Saturday.

Last Time Out
The Argos went 3-1 at the Big Sky Challenge defeating #21 Nelson University 3-1, The Evergreen State College 3-0, and Taylor University 3-0. Junior Kyra Saiers earned her first career Frontier Conference Defender of the Week award after averaging 5.15 digs per set over the weekend.

Stat Leaders
The Argos lead attacker so far this season has been senior Ryann Eddins. Eddins is averaging 2.92 kills per set so far this season which places her fifth in the Frontier Conference. Senior Bella Thompson is currently leading the conference in assists per set with 8.82 and is currently #2 in total assists with 97. Defensively, junior Cabry Taylor is currently third in the conference in blocks per set with 1.18 while Saiers is leading the conference with 5.15 digs per set.

Oklahoma Panhandle State
The Aggies started their season at the Bethel College Tournament where they went 1-2 defeating Hastings College but fell to Bethel and Texas A&M Texarkana. This will be the first meeting in program history between Providence and Oklahoma Panhandle State.  
 
#24 William Carey
The Crusaders were ranked #24 in the Preseason NAIA Coaches Poll after advancing to the Final Site of the NAIA National Tournament in 2024. William Carey is 4-4 so far this year picking up victories over Texas Wesleyan, Oklahoma City, MSU-Northern, and #17 Montana Tech. This will be the first meeting in program history between Providence William Carey.
 
Dakota Wesleyan
The Tigers were receiving votes in the Preseason NAIA Coaches Poll and are 3-2 so far this season after picking up victories over Valley City State, Missouri Valley, and Rocky Mountain College. This will be the first meeting in program history between Providence Dakota Wesleyan.
 
#8 IU Kokomo
The Cougars were ranked #8 in the Preseason NAIA Coaches Poll and are 3-2 so far this season after picking up victories over Columbia International, #15 Aquanis College, and #22 Marian University.  This will be the second meeting between the Cougars and the Argos with IU Kokomo winning the lone meeting at last years CSM Labor Day Classic 3-1.
