Argos Head East for Season Opener

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's soccer program heads to Jamestown, N.D. for the season opener on Sunday.  

The Argos under first year Head Coach Dalon Parker are looking to get back to the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament after missing out in the 2024 season. Parker led Multnomah University to the CCC Tournament last season prior to joining the Argos.

Following their scrimmages in the preseason, UP will play four games in five days to finish out their non-conference schedule. The Argos will face the University of Jamestown on Sunday in Jamestown, N.D., Dakota Wesleyan on Tuesday in Mitchell, S.D., Morningside University on Wednesday in Sioux City, Iowa, and Dordt University on Thursday in Sioux Center, Iowa.

The 2025 University of Providence team has many impactful returners in captains Sherry Msuku Jr., Hugo Gil, Ole Heinsohn, and Noah Watson. UP also returns juniors Geovanni Lugo, Teddy Benbow, Liam Vaux, and Kaleb Zuhoski who all had meaningful playing time in 2024.

Jamestown University
The Jimmies finished their 2024 season with a 3-9-3 record and will be facing the University of Providence as an exhibition. This will be 20th matchup between the Argos and the Jimmies with a record of 9-9-1 in the previous 19 matchups.

Dakota Wesleyan
The Lions finished their 2024 season with an 8-8-2 record and are 0-2 so far this season falling to Mount Mercy and St. Ambrose. This will be second matchup between the Argos and the Lions in program history with the Argos winning the lone matchup last year 2-1 in Jamestown, N.D.  

Morningside University
The Mustangs finished their 2024 season with an 11-6-2 record and are 0-1 so far this season falling to Grand View 3-0. This will be first matchup in program history between the Argos and the Mustangs.

Dordt University
The Defenders finished their 2024 season with a 6-8-4 record and are 1-1-1 so far this season defeating Bethel 3-0 and falling to Trinity Christian 2-0. This will be first matchup in program history between the Argos and the Defenders.
