Box Score DICKINSON, N.D. – The University of Providence women's volleyball program picked up their 13
th straight victory with a sweep over Dickinson State Saturday morning.
In the first set both teams went back-and forth until a 6-2 run from Argos (14-1) behind kills from seniors
Bella Thompson and
Bella Green gave UP an 11-6 lead. The Blue Hawks (7-5) would bring the set within two, but UP scored seven of the last nine points of the set with kills from senior

Kyra Saiers securing the first for the Argos 25-18.
The Argos continued their momentum into the second set getting out to an early 14-6 lead behind a pair of kills from senior
Sadie Giles and an ace from sophomore
Isabelle Cahall. Dickinson State did not go away slowly cutting into the lead forcing ties at 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20, but UP answered scoring four of the last five with a kill from junior
Cabry Taylor taking the second set for the Argos 25-21.
Each side traded points to start the third set until three straight from the Argos off kills from senior
Franny Martins and Taylor gave UP an 11-8 edge. Despite late pressure from the Blue Hawks, the Argos maintained that edge the rest of the way with a kill from junior
Martyna Fiedler securing the third set 25-20, and the match 3-0.
Green led the way for the Argos with nine kills, Thompson added 33 assists and junior
Kyra Saiers had a team high 22 digs.
The Argos will be back in action Friday, Sept. 26 when they host #5 Bellevue. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. (MST) in Great Falls, Mont.
