Argos Head to Helena for Frontier Conference Opener

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence women's volleyball team heads to Helena, Mont. for the Frontier Conference opener versus Carroll College on Friday and then will travel to Billings on Saturday to face Rocky Mountain College.

Last Time Out
The Argos went 4-0 at the CSM Labor Day Classic defeating #8 IU Kokomo and #24 William Carey. Following their successful weekend, the Argos were ranked #5 in the NAIA Coaches Poll to match their highest ranking in program history. UP also saw junior Cabry Taylor earn the Frontier Conference and NAIA Defender of the Week while senior Bella Thompson took home her 12th career Frontier Conference Setter of the Week award.

Stat Leaders
The Argos lead attacker so far this season has been Taylor who is averaging 3.25 kills per set so far this season which places her third in the Frontier Conference. Thompson is currently third in the conference in assists per set with 10.22 and is second in total assists with 250. Defensively, Taylor is currently first in the conference in blocks per set with 1.50 while junior Kyra Saiers is leading the conference with 132 digs.  
 
Carroll College
The Fighting Saints were receiving votes in the latest NAIA Coaches Poll after starting their season 6-3 with victories over #21 Nelson University and Ottawa University. The Argos are 8-2 in the last 10 matchups with Carroll with UP winning all three meetings last season.
 
Rocky Mountain College
The Battlin' Bears ae 0-5 so far in 2024-2025 and are 0-1 in Frontier Conference play after falling in straight sets to Carroll on Wednesday. The Argos are 4-6 in the last 10 matchups with Rocky Mountain with UP winning all three meetings last season.
