GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's wrestling program fell to #6 Southern Oregon 21-14 Friday night.

The Argos dropped the 125 match to start the dual but at 133 #10 Kobi Johnson put the Argos on the board defeating #17 Kyle Sieminski 9-1.

Following losses at 141 and 149, the Argos got back on track at 157 with #7 Pig Hobbs defeating Cole Zoller 6-0, and the Argos continued their momentum at 165 with #15 Irish Furthmyre defeating Ryan Carroll 4-1 to bring the Argos within two.

The Argos would drop the next three matches, and despite #7 Ethan DeRoche picking up a 13-2 victory over Sebastian Echeverria, the Argos fell to #6 Southern Oregon 21-14.

The Argos will be back in action Feb. 6-7 when they head to Arizona for a pair of duals. UP will face #9 Embry-Riddle at 12:00 p.m. (MST) on Friday prior to facing #14 Arizona Christian at 12:00 p.m. (MST) on Saturday.
