SALT LAKE CITY, Utah. – The University of Providence hockey program fell to Utah State 2-1 Saturday afternoon.
The Argos (18-8-4) scored the first goal of the game when junior
Jamal Kalaf sent the puck to the net and sophomore
Darnell Glasgo tipped it past the goaltender to put UP ahead 1-0.
The Aggies (27-15) added a goal midway through the second period to tie the game at one, and despite chances for both teams the rest of the way, neither side could find the go-ahead goal as UP went into overtime tied at one.
Both teams had opportunities over the first eight minutes, but the Aggies found the game-winner as UP fell to Utah State in overtime 2-1.
