Argos Wrestle #9 Embry-Riddle and #14 Arizona Christian in Arizona

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's wrestling team heads to Arizona for a pair of duals. UP will wrestle #9 Embry-Riddle in Prescott, Ariz. on Friday at 1:00 p.m. (MST) prior to wrestling #14 Arizona Christian on Saturday in Glendale, Ariz. at Noon (MST).
 
Last Time Out
The Argos saw three athletes reach the placement matches at the Tyler Plummer Classic in freshman Myles Christen taking first, senior Hunter Dyer placing fourth, and freshman Mason Aiken finishing in fifth.   
 
Rankings
The Argos were ranked #13 in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll with seven individual wrestlers ranked in the top 25 of their respective weight classes in #7 Pig Hobbs (157), #7 Ethan DeRoche (285), #10 Kobi Johnson (125), #10 Brady Ellison (174), #12 Cade White (149), #14 Jalen Vladic (165), #15 Irish Furthmyre (157), and #20 Boden Banta (125).
 
#9 Embry-Riddle
The Eagles were ranked #9 in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll and have nine wrestlers ranked in the top 25 of their respective weight classes in #3 Daniil Gorshkov (174), #5 Landon Smith (125), #5 Yoshiya Funakoshi (141), #5 Kenneth Copley (285), #9 Trenton Blomquist (197), #12 Jayden Luttrell (165), #22 Peyton Proper (157), #23 Adam Stanley (141), and #25 Christian Lopez (149). This will be the second meeting this season between the Argos and the Eagles with UP taking the lone matchup 24-16 at the NWCA National Dual Championships.
 
#14 Arizona Christian
The Fire Storm were ranked #14 in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll and have 6 wrestlers ranked in the top 25 of their respective weight classes in #4 Sean Archuleta (133), #5 Jason Ramirez (133), #8 Leonardo Galasso (174), #12 Michael Trujillo (141), #20 Channing Porter (141), and #23 Enzo Morales (157). The Argos are 4-0 in their history versus Arizona Christian taking the most recent matchup 46-9 in Glendale, Ariz.
