GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence women's soccer team heads to California for their season opener. UP will face Soka University on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. (MST) and La Sierra University on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. (MST).

The 2026 University of Providence team has many impactful returners in captains Shea Waters, Peyton Schmauch, and Brooklyn Poole.  UP also returns juniors Chloe Pajaro, Holly St. Germain, Andriah Watson, and sophomores Te'a Knighton, Anisia Ramirez, and Autumn Apana-Purcell who all had meaningful playing time in 2025.

Soka University
The Lions finished their 2025 season with a 9-4-5 record and are 0-1-1 so far this season falling to The College of Idaho 3-1 and tying Westcliff University 0-0. The Argos are 2-0-1 in their history versus the Lions tying the most recent matchup 2-2 last season.  

La Sierra
The Golden Eagles finished their 2025 season with a 6-8-3 record and are 2-1 so far this season falling to Stanton University 3-0 and defeating Pacific Union 2-1. This will be second matchup in program history between the Argos and the Golden Eagles with La Sierra taking the lone matchup 1-0 in 2017.
