Before UP: Played basketball at Gallatin High where he averaged 19.8pts, 6.1reb, and 2.0 assists per game. He was also 2x first team All-State, 2x first team all-conference, 2x All-State tournament team, a member of the 1000 point club, and an Academic All-State honoree.
