Cody Adams enters into his first season as the goalkeeper coach for the UGF men’s team. 

Adams was born and raised in Orange County, Calif., and began his soccer career at age 5 with the AYSO. In high school he bounced around from club to club until settling with United Futbol Club in San Juan Capistrano, Calif.

Adams attended Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, Calif., where he played goalkeeper for four years and earned his B.A. in religion.

While attending Vanguard, Adams began coaching at some of the local high schools. He served three seasons as the goalkeeper coach at Newport Harbor High School. In 2013 he was the women’s goalkeeper coach at Vanguard.

Cody married his college sweetheart, Kyli in January of 2013.  They have a clamorous cat named Juniper.  He is currently pursuing the his master’s degree in counseling at UGF.
