Danny Burstein joined the University of Providence men’s soccer program as Assistant Coach in Spring 2018.
In his first season with the program, he helped lead the Argos to an 8-5-3 regular season record and a berth in the conference tournament. Burstein’s role includes handling the goalkeeper coaching as well as team training, recruitment and administrative duties.
In addition to his position with UP, Burstein works with Montana Rush as Head Coach for the U15 Girls and U19 Boys. He led his U19 Boys team to the 2018 State Cup title.
Prior to his arrival in Great Falls, Burstein was a staff coach on the girls’ side at St. Louis Scott Gallagher Soccer Club from 2014-2018. He was also part of the club’s goalkeeping staff, working with the Elite level goalkeepers, among other age groups.
While in St. Louis, Burstein was also coaching high school soccer with stops at Whitfield HS in 2018 and MICDS from 2013-17. He helped lead the MICDS boys’ team to back to back conference championships, as well as assisting the girls to the first District Championship in program history in 2015.
Burstein is a graduate of Brandeis University, where as an undergrad he assisted with the women’s soccer team as a goalkeeper coach and team manager.
