Katie Weiskittel is in her second year as a graduate assistant coach for the University of Great Falls volleyball team.
Weiskeittel came to UGF after two years as an assistant volleyball and softball coach at Alma College, an NCAA Division III university in Alma, Mich. She will be pursuing her master’s degree in counseling at UGF.
“I am excited about the opportunity to come here and have an immediate impact on the volleyball program,” Weiskittel said. “I am looking forward to working with three different coaches who have a lot of experience playing different positions than I played in college.”
Weiskittel played middle blocker at St. Joseph’s College, an NCAA D-II school in Rensselaer, Ind. She earned a degree in criminal justice.
Away from the court, she enjoys biking, hiking, running, playing cards, and watching football and basketball. A true Indianan, her favorite athlete is Larry Bird.
Weiskittel prepped at Bishop Chatard High School in Indianapolis, where she swam and ran track in addition to playing volleyball.
She is the daughter of Jack and Ann Weiskittel, and sister to Abby and Hugh, who played basketball at Brescia University in Owensboro, Ky.
