AS A LADY ARGO – 2015: In her first year with the program.

BEFORE UGF: Earned three letters in volleyball and also played basketball for the Columbia Falls (Mont.) High Wildcats… Set the school record for digs with 682 and won the defense award as a sophomore, was named the Most Inspirational and was All-Conference honorable mention as a junior, and named All-Conference and Academic All-State as a senior. Team played fourth at the Class A state tournament in her junior year and was the state runner-up as a senior… Club programs were the Columbia Falls Volleyball Club and the Montana Outlaws Volleyball Club.

PERSONAL: Majoring in business administration with a minor in accounting and would like to be a coach… Enjoys dirt biking, fishing, welding, camping and hiking… Favorite athlete is Jenia Grebennikov… Favorite food is rice pudding… Favorite movie is Pitch Perfect… Involved in Peer Allies… Daughter of James and Lavita… Sister of Coleton and Hunter… Born Shaylene Paige Fishel on June 8, 1997, in Kalispell, Mont.

WHY UGF? “The University of Great Falls offers all the qualities I look for in a school. I admire the campus and liked all the people that welcomed me right away. I am able to study business administration and play the sport I love. It is a place I immediately knew I would fit in. I am excited to be a part of the volleyball program because they have a great group of girls I’m excited to learn from.”
