Argo Women's Soccer Fall to Carroll Saints Following Second-Half Rally

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence women's soccer team fell to the Carroll Saints on Monday afternoon.
 
The Saints found success early as they scored a goal from the top of the six in the 4th minute to take a 0-1 lead.
 
The Argos responded in the 29th minute as Malena Lennon sent a ball to Eme McLaughlin who netted the equalizer to bring the match to a 1-1 tie heading into the break.
 
Carroll retook the lead in the 62nd minute as a Saint netted a ball that deflected off Dakota Nuemann to give the Saints a 1-2 lead.
 
In the 78th minute, the Saints were able to push the lead to two as they scored from the corner of the six, 1-3.
 
Less than five minutes remained when the Saints tallied their last goal of the match from outside the six to the left side corner to push the game to its final, 1-4.
 
The Argos led in shots (15), but the Saints were a little more efficient as they netted four goals on their 12 shots. The Argos tallied three saves and one corner kick in the loss.
 
Up Next
The Argos travel to the Evergreen State next month as they will play Evergreen State College on Friday, October 19 at 4 p.m. and then take on Northwest University on Saturday, October 20 at 3:30 p.m.
