BILLINGS, Mont. – Argo women's soccer (6-5, 4-3) fell in their second game of the weekend as they dropped a 1-3 decision to the Rocky Mountain Battlin' Bears (5-5-1, 1-4-1) on Sunday.
The opening 45 minutes were quiet on both sides as headed into the break tied, 0-0. However, the Battlin' Bears led in shots during the first half, 10-4.
Rocky Mountain got on the board first during the second half as they scored in the 50
th minute, 0-1.
The Battlin' Bears tacked on some insurance in the 74
th minute as Lauryn Gamache push Rocky's lead to two, 0-2.
Sami Heimer tallied another score for the Battlin' Bears in the 83
rd minute to make it 3-0.
The Argos were able to bring the deficit down by one in the 85
th minute as freshman
Crystal Martinez netted her first goal of the season and her first as an Argo, 3-1.
