KIRKLAND, Wash. – Argo men's basketball (4-0) tallied their fourth win of the season and downed five-win unbeaten Northwest University (5-1) on Friday evening at the Kristi Brodin Pavilion, 83-75.

Jaxen Hashley got things started as the Argos scored eight unanswered to take the lead early, 8-0. The Eagles responded with five points of their own to close the gap to three, 8-5. Following three free throws from
Austin Starr, the Argos scored another eight unanswered to push the Argos lead to double-digits, 16-5. The Argos tallied five more against four Eagles points to push the lead to 12, 21-9. Both squads battle with the Eagles outscoring the Argos 18-13 to close the deficit to seven, 34-27. However, that was as close as they would get in the opening 20 minutes as a three from
Jalen Shepard pushed the lead back to 10 and the Argos would maintain their double-digit lead to eventually head into the locker room with a 13-point advantage, 48-35.
The Argos continued to lay things on following the break as they tacked on eight to the Eagles six to push their lead to 15 following a pair of free throws from D'Shea Williams, 56-41. The Eagles put together a run to cut the deficit back down to eight, 56-48, but a
Brandon Cotton three silenced their run to give the Argos another double-digit advantage, 59-48. Northwest outscored the Argos 10-7 to bring the game within eight, 66-58. The Argos would retake an 11-point advantage but a back-to-back Eagles' jumper and three brought Northwest back within two possessions, 73-67. The Eagles would get as close as four, 76-72, but the Argos rallied in the final minutes to outscore Northwest 7-3 to close out the game and remain unbeaten, 83-75.
Jalen Shepard led the Argos offensively with 19 points, while also collecting four rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
D'shea Williams tallied the Argos only double-double of the night scoring 18 points and collecting 11 boards, in addition to adding two assists and a block in the win.
Jaxen Hashley almost tallied his own double-double with 11 points and nine boards against the Eagles.
