SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – The University of Providence women's soccer team (4-2) earned their first shutout of the season as they scored three to top Northwest Christian (2-5), 3-0.

Eme McLaughlin who netted the first goal for the Argos to take a 1-0 lead.

Kate Sisler in the 37
th minute to push the Argos' lead to two as she netted a five-yard strike. The Argos carried the 2-0 lead into the locker room.
Providence lead in shots during the first half, 10-3. Both squads garnered three corner kicks during the period as well.
During the final half, the Argos tallied their third goal of the day as junior
Alexis Cavalier sent a cross ball to McLaughlin who scored from five yards out to notch her second goal of the day.
The Beacons rallied in the final 45 minutes as they Argos lead in saves during the second period, 5-2. The Argos continued to lead the Beacons in shots, 10-7, but the Beacons had six of theirs on goal in the second period.
