LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 4 Argos competed in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) NAIA Multi-Divisional National Duals on Friday, finishing 1-2 against three ranked opponents.
The Argos opened up the day with a tight 20-16 victory over No. T-17 Marian (Ind.), before battling the No. 7 team in the nation, Life University, in a tough 25-16 loss and closing out the day in a tough defeat against No. 8 Lindsey Wilson, 28-14.
During the opening dual, the Knights took the first two matches at 125 and 133 to take an early seven-point lead.
TJ Baun defeated Marian's Mason Miranda by a tight 11-10 decision in the 141-pound weight class to cut the deficit to four, 7-3. The Knights tacked on three more as they claimed an 8-4 decision at 149 pounds to lead 10-3. No. 5

Adrian Lyons-Lopez claimed a pair of major decisions by 11-3 and 13-2, respectively, to give the Argos the advantage, 11-10. Marian would take two more decisions in the 174 and 184-pound weight classes to retake the lead, 17-10. No. 5
John Hensley came up huge as he earned a first-period pin over Marian's Cameron Simmons to put the Argos back on top, 17-16.
Justin Harbison closed out the match with an 11-7 decision over the Knights' Ethan Bunce to give the Argos the 20-16 victory.
The Argos advanced in the winner's bracket to take on Life University. The Eagles took the early lead as they earned a major decision at 125 pounds to lead by four, 4-0.
Eli Walston garnered a huge second-period pin to give the Argos the 6-4 lead. The Eagles tacked on another four points with a major decision at 141 pounds to regain the lead, 10-6.
Shonn Roberts tallied the Argos second pin of the match as he defeated Life's Mason Calvert by a second-period pin to put the Argos up by two, 12-10. Life would take a decision at 157 pounds to lead by one, 13-12. Lyons-Lopez notched a shutout technical fall to put the Argos back in front, 17-13. However, the Eagles were able to earn three decisions and a technical fall in the final four weight classes and the Argos lost a point due to match control to fall 25-16.
Against the Blue Raiders, Lindsey Wilson took the first three matches by a pin, major decision, and a sudden victory win, 13-0. Roberts won by forfeit at 149 pounds to cut the deficit down to seven, 13-6. The Blue Raiders extended their lead with a decision at 157 pounds lead 16-6. Lyons-Lopez garnered a decision over Lindsey Wilson's Mark Taijeron to bring the Argos back within seven, 16-9. John Hensley dominated the Blue Raiders Avery Buckman in a 26-9 technical fall to push the Argos total to 14, 25-14. Lindsey Wilson took an 8-6 decision in the final match to close out match, 28-14.
The Argos travel to Dickinson, North Dakota to compete in the Tyler Plummer Tournament hosted by Dickinson State on January, 12.
