University of Providence Volleyball Update

Des Moines, Iowa- A long road trip with some travel delays but the number 20
th ranked University of Providence Women's Volleyball team prevailed in Des Moines, Iowa Grand View Tournament with a victory over Ottawa University, a team from Kansas.
The Argos first game of the weekend went to University of Providence winning game one easily 25-9. Then Ottawa came back wining games two and three, 25-20, 25-21, before the Argos showed their strength with two wins back to back, 25-18, 15-8.
 "We came out strong today, but were al little worn down from the long day of travel yesterday. I'm proud of the adjustments we made during the match. It really helped to have the big right-side presence of
Jensyn Turner, in which she played her best match to date," said Head Coach
Arunas Duda.
The Argos played very well as a team. They were led by
Kelsey Shaver, 20 kills and 21 digs. Â
Jensyn Turner added 19 kills and Avery Dyer had 20 digs.
The Argos have one more match this afternoon before preparing to play Saturday morning at 10:30 AM against Viterbo University, a team from Wisconsin.
