WHITEFISH, Mont., Oct. 11, 2019 – In a preseason poll of Frontier Conference women's basketball coaches, defending conference tournament champion Carroll College is picked to win the 2019-2020 league title. The Saints received six first place votes.
Rocky Mountain College is picked to finish second followed by the University of Providence, and Lewis-Clark State (received one first place vote).
Defending national and regular season conference champion Montana Western is picked fifth followed by MSU-Northern and Montana Tech.
In this year's women's poll, there was one ballot that gave both Lewis-Clark and Montana Western a fourth place vote.
The points for fourth and fifth were added together, divided by two with each receiving half of the total.
The league's men's coaches selected the University of Providence to win the 2019-2020 title with MSU-Northern picked to finish second.
Providence received four first places with Northern receiving the remaining three.
Defending regular season co-champion, conference tournament champion and national semifinalist Lewis-Clark State is picked to finish third.
Co-defending regular season champion and national runner-up Carroll College is picked fourth.
Montana Tech is next followed by Rocky Mountain College and Montana Western.

Votes were six points for first, five points for second, four points for third, three points for fourth, two points for fifth and one point for sixth.
Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.
