Great Falls, Mont.- Six Argos hit double digits as the University of Providence women's basketball team broke the century mark in their season opener, 103-60 over Mount Royal on Friday night.
Senior, Jenna Randich, came back after a year off because of a knee injury and lit it up for 22 points, 15 of them coming from behind the three-point line.
Parker Esary and Bailey Cartwright each scored 15 points, Emily Maldonado had 13 while Kerstyn Pimperton and Kenedy Cartwright chipped in with 11 and 10 respectively.
After the game Coach Bill was interviewed on KINX Radio and made these comments. "We played well, still have things to work on but liked how we came out and were ready to go. I thought we shared the ball well. It was very nice to have Jenna (Randich) back in the lineup. Her leadership and game knowledge helped us get off to a good start in the contest."
The Argos will be off until October 28, 2019 for a noon contest against Salish Kootenai College.
