St. GEORGE, Uta. - A night after defeating Dixie State, the University of Providence men's basketball team lost to NCAA Division II team Westminster 73-70 in an exhibition game.
The Argos were led by
Brandon Cotton, who scored 18 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds.
Zaccheus Darko-Kelly contributed 15 points, 7 rebounds and five assists. Jake Wetzel recorded 11 points off the bench, including three 3-pointers.
"We had a chance to win it," head coach
Steve Keller said. "It was a good weekend. The guys played hard against two good teams."
The Argos will next take on Dickinson State on Nov. 22 at 6:00 p.m. in the McLaughlin Center.
