GREAT FALLS, Mont. - The University of Providence men's wrestling team defeated Warner Pacific in a conference dual.
Warner Pacific jumped out to a 10-0 lead after a forfiet at 125 and a major decision by Warner Pacific at 133.
Justin Gibson got the Argos on the board with a first period pin.
Shonn Roberts tied the dual up with a major decision immediately after.
After that it was all Providence as the Argos scored 43 unanswered.
Josh Johnson won one of the most exciting matches of the night with a score of 10-7.
KC Buday closed out the match with a pin.
"We really like the way our kids are competing right now," interim head coach
Steve Komac said. "Warner Pacific was not able to field a full team but they competed very well and we were able to win some good matches."
The Argos will head to Spokane for more wrestling at the Spokane Open on Sunday.Â
