Argos Go 3-1 in Arizona

PRESCOTT, Ariz. – The University of Providence men's wrestling team went 3-1 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Duals in Prescott, Arizona on Sunday.

The Argos started the day defeating Morningside 33-6, only losing the 125 lb. weight class via forfeit. They followed that up by defeating Arizona Christian 36-12. The Argos lost the third dual of the day to Southeastern 18-22 before getting back on track against Wayland Baptist, winning 32-15.

"It was a good day for our kids," interim head coach Steve Komac said. "We lost a few tough matches which means we are wrestling the right competition."

The team will be off until the new year, resuming action in the National Duals in Louisville, KY on January 10 and 11.

"This wraps up the first half of the season for us and a lot of positive things have happened," Komac said. "We'll take a little time off for the holidays, heal a little bit and then get back to work."
