BILLINGS, Mont.- The University of Providence Men's Basketball team (12-0) didn't miss a beat after the Christmas break as they held Portland Bible College to only 38 points on Friday.
Four Argos scored double digits. They were led by Joel Thabize, with 18 points, 9 rebounds, 1 block, and 1 assist. Brandon Cotton chipped in 17 points, Jacob Wetzel 14, and Zaccheus Darko-Kelly added 11 in the 89-38 victory.
"By jumping out to an early lead it made us relax. That helped us concentrate on defense and we really got after it. I was wondering how we would respond after the break for Christmas, but we looked good and I'm looking forward to our game Sunday in Great Falls," commented Head Coach Steve Keller after the game.
The game Coach Keller references is Sunday at the McLaughlin Center in Great Falls when the Argos play host to SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) Trojans at 2 PM.
