LEWISTON, Idaho – Five Argos competed in the Dumm and Dummer Half Marathan hosted by Lewis-Clark State College on Saturday, with Argos sweeping three of the top four placers and two qualifying for nationals.
On the men's side,
Peyton Jones led the Argos as he claimed a second-place finish, followed closely by teammates
Conor McGee and
Taylor Hensley who claimed third and fourth, respectively.
Jones was one of two runners to claim qualifying marks as he hit the A qualifier on Saturday, finishing with an impressive 1:13:10. McGee wasn't far behind, narrowly missing the A qualifier by 30 seconds, but qualifying for the B qualifier with his mark of 1:14:00. Hensley was the third Argo to seal up the second through fourth sweep for the Argos, finishing with a time of 1:35:55.
On the women's side,
Christina Eike paced the Argos with a 10
th-place finish and crossing at 1:52:26.
Makayla Cook was the Argos second finisher narrowly missing a sub-two-hour time as she finished 15th, crossing in 2:00:12.
