GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Argo men's wrestling and head coach Caleb Schaeffer announce that Emmitt Augure will be joining the 2019-2020 roster.

Augure, a native of Browning, Montana, was a dual-sport athlete at Browning High School, competing in both wrestling and football. On the turf, Augure was a two-time all-state and three-time all-conference football athlete, earning all-state as both a defensive end and at center. On the mat, Augure was a four-time All-Conference honoree. He also placed three years at divisionals, finishing third twice, fifth and eighth.
Augure's athletic prowess aligns well with Argo wrestling's tradition of success.

Not only is Augure accomplished on the field and on the mat, but he also puts just as much effort in his academic pursuits as he does his athletic career. He was named honor roll for all four years of his high school career, while also earning Academic All-State and receiving membership to the National Honor Society.

"The University of Providence was a perfect fit for me because I am able to stay close to home and be a part of such a prestigious and accomplished wrestling program," expressed Augure. "I want to strive to become the best wrestler I can, and there's no better place than under Coach Schaeffer at the University of Providence."
