Bartmess Highlights Argos Finish at MSU Spring Rodeos over the Weekend

BOZEMAN, Mont. – The University of Providence Rodeo team competed in the Montana State University Spring Rodeo over the weekend.

The MSU Spring Rodeo consisted of a pair of rodeos, in which the first started on Thursday and ended on Saturday, with a second rodeo that began and commenced on Sunday.

The women's team placed sixth from the field of six teams, while the men's team didn't receive a team score.

Stephanie Bartmess highlighted the Argos weekend during the second rodeo on Sunday as she claimed a third-place finish in the Barrel Racing, finishing with a time of 15.20 seconds on her single go for the day.

"The Montana State Spring Rodeo is a tough one to start off the spring season, with the large crowds, loud music, and all the excitement to be back competing," said head rodeo coach Dick Lyman. "We've had some great practices and although we may not have delivered as well as we were hoping to in Bozeman, we were able to take note of our missteps and focus on what we need to work on this week as we head to Miles City. We're looking forward to continuing our progress through the season and are looking to finish strong."
