GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence rodeo team announced today the signing of Teanna Layne.

Layne joins the program from Valier, Montana. She has participated in the State Rodeo Finals all four years, the National High School Finals in 2017 and the Indian National Finals Rodeo in 2018.

"She brings a solid skill set, a hard work ethic and is just an all-around good person," head coach Sylvan La Cross. "We're trying to build that team unity filled with easy-going kids that will push each other. Those are the kids we're looking for and we found one in Teanna."

Layne also played volleyball in high school for all years. Layne will graduate from Valier High School in the spring. She plans on studying nursing upon attending Providence in the fall.
