GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Argo women's basketball put the finishing touches on their 2019-20 roster on Wednesday as head coach Bill Himmelberg announced the signing of Payton and Paige Aasved.
 
"I am really excited to get both Paige and Payton, they are both a great fit for our program, they both work extremely hard both on the court and in the classroom," said coach Himmelberg.
 
Payton and Paige Aasved, natives of Helena, Montana, come to the Argos from Helena High School. Both Payton and Paige were named Academic All-State during their time as Bengals, in addition to being members of the National Honor Society.
 
"We feel blessed and honored to be continuing our education and basketball careers at the University of Providence. We have worked towards this goal for years and it is so exciting to see it became a reality," expressed Payton and Paige Aasved. "It felt so right when we went on our recruiting visit. Coach Himmelberg, his coaching staff, and the girls were all so welcoming," added the Aasved twins. "Coach Peterson and the HHS program are hard acts to follow, but coach Himmelberg and Argo women's basketball really feels like the right fit."
 
Both Payton and Paige played integral parts in Helena High's past three seasons as the Bengals secured three consecutive Class AA state championship titles.
 
"Payton and Paige come from a winning program and know what it takes to be part of a winning culture," expressed coach Himmelberg. "They are going to be a great addition to not only our basketball team, but also our university campus as a whole."
