GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Argo Track and Field adds more throwing talent with Odin Jordan, announced by head coach
Bill Brist on Tuesday.
"Odin Jordan is a talented thrower in the shot put and discus, with experience throwing at the Nevada Class 4A High School regional and state championship levels," stated assistant coach
Alan Cress.
Odin Jordan, a native of Henderson, Nevada, was a four-year letterwinner in track and field at Basic High School and also served as a two-year throws team captain for the Wolves. He was a state qualifier in the discus and a two-time regional championships qualifier in both the shot put and the discus. Outside of his high school competition, Jordan competed for two years with the Throwers Respect Field and Track Club competing in shot put, discus, hammer, and javelin. Jordan was also named to the honor roll during both semesters of his senior year.
"We are extremely excited about his experience in the hammer and javelin throws with the Throwers Respect Club out of north Las Vegas," expressed coach Cress. "It isn't often that I come across a high school thrower with hammer experience."
Jordan will pursue a degree in exercise science at the University of Providence.
