Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Argos Fall in Home Opener

Great Falls, Mont. – The University of Providence women's soccer team fell to Northwest in their home opener 3-0.

"There were moments of good soccer where we played the way we wanted to play," head coach Brian Clarke said. "We're just inconsistent. If you give good teams opportunities, they'll finish. We had a lot of opportunities that we didn't capitalize on that I think could have shifted momentum for us, but that's the way the game goes."

Senior Eme McLaughlin led the team in shots with four, one being on goal. Shayenn Thompson attempted two, and both Soraya Alfaro and Bri Wikert had one. Dakota Neumann recorded 14 saves.

The Argos have to put this game behind them, as they have a quick turnaround with another game tomorrow at 1 p.m. against Evergreen State at Argo Field.

"We talked about what we have to learn from this game," Clarke said. "Then we put it in the past and move on to the next game. Every game is a big game. They have to come back and be prepared for tomorrow."
