#9 Argos Prepare For Road Dual Against #18 Eastern Oregon

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The 9th ranked University of Providence men's wrestling team will travel to #18 Eastern Oregon for a dual on Saturday.

Most of the starters took last weekend off to get some rest after a busy two weeks. After a couple individual tournaments, the Argos will look to switch gears back to a dual style for the remainder of the regular season.

"We get different things from a dual than if it's a tournament," interim head coach Steve Komac said. "These next three conference duals that we have are some of the top teams year in and year out. These duals are a great pace for us as we go into the conference tournament which is just three weeks away. I think the kids are in a good place, the focus is good. We're excited to get on the road this weekend and go wrestle."

The Argos know the match this week will be difficult. The Mountaineers are coming off an upset victory over #12 Embry-Riddle.

"Eastern Oregon is a very well coached program," Komac said. "Coach Azure does a fantastic job. He's a great guy and has been around the sport his whole life. Those guys are getting better fast. From the beginning of the year to where they are now, they're already a much-improved team. We expect a very tight contest this weekend."

Despite the challenge, Komac believes his team is ready to compete. He hopes the team will start to build some momentum before the postseason hits.

"When we go out and compete this weekend, as long as we have ten guys that give good effort, we're going to live with the results. Usually the results are favorable, but even if they're not and the effort is alright, you go back to the room and work on something. You work on a skill or a position or whatever was the difference between winning and losing that match. The effort from the kids and the competition this year has been the way it's supposed to be and I think that'll translate as we make our run in the postseason."
