"I was so pleased with how we played tonight," head coach
Bill Himmelberg said. "We defended well the whole game. In the 4
th quarter we moved the ball exceptionally well and we hit almost all of our shots. The team work was amazing the whole game but it especially showed that 4
th quarter. This was our best game of the entire year."
Gracey Meyer and Savanna Bignell both led the Bulldogs with 9 points, while Paige Holmes added 7. The Bulldogs mustered only 27.7% from the field, including 29.4% from beyond the arc and 58.8% from the free throw line.
Though Himmelberg was pleased with the performance, he knows the team has to regroup for a big matchup tomorrow against #23 Rocky Mountain, a team they haven't beaten yet this year.
"Our backs are still against the wall," he said. "We talked about the path we need to take to get where we need to go. They know the importance of the game. We need to find a way to win tomorrow. We haven't had back to back big wins in a while. We need to do that tomorrow. We have to find a way to get Rocky.
