Argos Fall to Lights in Thriller

Box Score GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's basketball team fell to Montana State-Northern 65-61 Saturday night in Great Falls.

The Argos shot 3/20 from beyond the arc while the Lights shot 7/17. The Lights also shot 10/12 from the free throw line, while the Argos shot 10/16.

"Obviously we didn't shoot the three very well," head coach Steve Keller said. "They made a play at the end. We didn't shoot it well enough from the free throw line. We had our chances. I think we had the ball two or three times tied and we didn't make a good decision."

During the game, Zaccheus Darko-Kelly broke the all-time single season scoring record of 664, previously held by Marcel Towns of the 2013-2014 season. Darko-Kelly currently has 677 points on the season.

He ended the game with 25 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and 1 block. Jaxen Hashley finished with 17 points and 15 rebounds.

The Argos finish the season at 23-7 and third in the Frontier Conference with an 11-7 record. They'll start the Frontier Conference Tournament on Tuesday with a home game against Montana Western (11-18, 4-14). Tip-off will take place at 7 p.m.
