GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The #10 University of Providence men's basketball got some payback Sunday afternoon, avenging last night's loss by defeating Montana State-Northern 78-66.

Zaccheus Darko-Kelly, who missed Saturday night's game due to University of Providence protocol, came out hot, scoring 11 of the team's first 21 points. The team entered the break up 41-25 and never looked back in the second half.

"Great team effort," head coach Steve Keller said. "I thought we played hard. They might have been tired. They expended a lot of energy to hold us off last night. This is a great win for us."

Darko-Kelly led the way with 25 points, nine rebounds and five assists while shooting 10/17 from the field. Marcus Stephens added 18 points, six rebounds and two assists while Davien Harris-Williams added 14 points off the bench.

Keller was pleased with the team's energy and execution on the defensive side of the ball, especially in the first half. The Argos (7-1, 7-1) held David Harris and Mascio Mccadney, who both had 26 points last night, to a to zero first-half points.

"We made a couple switches on defense that I thought helped us," Keller said. "Z being in there helped us a ton. He did a great job on Harris in the first half. He had no points. We did a good job on McCadney. He only scored in the last few minutes."

The Argos will again have a short turnaround. They'll host Montana Western on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

"They're dangerous, they got some good players," Keller said. "We have to be ready to go."
